Segerstrom Center for the Arts will celebrate the centennial of one of the most influential figures in the history of jazz, the legendary pianist and composer Dave Brubeck with a Dave Brubeck Centennial Celebration on Friday February 2022.
This captivating celebration pays tribute to the renowned jazz composer, pianist, cultural ambassador, and visionary musician. The all star lineup of talent coming together for this tribute includes The Clayton Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, the Brubeck Brothers Quartet, and five-time GRAMMY winning vocalist and NEA Jazz Master, Dianne Reeves. This acclaimed group of musicians will bring a unique insight into Dave’s music and his contribution to jazz history, highlighting the aspects of his music that make his work one-of-a-kind.
The Brubeck Brothers Quartet features Dave’s two sons, composer, pianist, bass and bass trombone player Chris Brubeck, and drummer Dan Brubeck, along with guitarist and composer Mike DeMiccco, and pianist and composer Chuck Lamb. Each member of the quarter performed and toured with Dave, bringing unique insight into Dave's music.
